Forthcoming Packs Part 5

And tonight we have the woodland stuff, including the first two wood elf packs and the new treeman.  I am also posting a comparison picture of the treeman with a wood elf and halfling.  These woodland figures were sculpted by Faron Betchley and I am really excited to see how the other wood elves end up.  It should be a really fun range and Faron has lots of great ideas for allies and additional units.

Forthcoming Packs Part 4

Tonight I will introduce the Bear Clan Warriors.  These will work great as  the Wendel from The 13th Warrior.  Sculpted by Rod Campbell, there will be three packs--Command, Axes, and Spears.  you can see some painted examples with Bear Warriors for a Were-Bear unit below.  I am also showing a picture of the SAXO14 riders mounted on bears (sculpted by Faron Betchley).  These will be a pack for the Bear Clan and the other Saxons should fill out nicely as basic warriors.

Forthcoming Packs Part 3

Tonight I figured I would showcase the new stuff from Ben Siens.  Ben has done the orc/goblin line as well as the dark elf line.  I think he is beginning work on some dark elf characters so that should be a lot of fun.  The four packs I will be releasing are the dire hyenas, goblin cavalry command, and goblin cavalry as well as the dark elf cavalry command.  The goblins will come with the dire hyenas but will also fit on any of the other mount types I have.  I imagine the dire hyenas will look great with the hyenamen cavalry Sandy Garrity did as well and plan on adding some to my Hyena army.

Forthcoming Packs Part 2

Today, the halflings.  Though I have loved having the halfling warders Sandy Garrity did for me, I have been wanting some militia types as well.  When Rod Campbell showed me some pics of a few halflings he had randomly done up, I jumped at the chance to get them and have him do more.  The militia infantry pack will have 9 unique sculpts, including slingers, farm weapons, and a leader.  The cavalry will have three poses and choice of pig or pony mounts.

Forthcoming Packs Part 1

Over the next few days I will be showing the washed versions of the new packs coming soon.  Today I will showcase the first 6 of what will be an extensive dwarf line, sculpted by Wiff Waff.  These little guys are the same size as the dark dwarves Sandy Garrity did a few years ago and will fit in well with the rest of the 15/17mm lines I have.

New Painted Stuff and a Sale

Happy Thanksgiving!  As I wait for cinnamon rolls to heat up and coffee to brew, I thought I would post some pictures of new figures coming soon.  The sculptors have been very busy and the production molds are in the process of being done now, so hopefully, will be ready by Christmas or even earlier.

We will be starting a sale tomorrow (Friday after Thanksgiving), which will run through the end of December 31, 2010.  All items will be 20% off with the exception of buildings and SPACE01 and SPACE02.  Just email me at splinteredlightminis@earthlink.net with what you want and I can send a paypal invoice.  Alternately, just place the order via the web shop and I will refund you 20%.  Either way works for me.

First up are some new dwarves I will have coming out.  I have 6 packs ready thus far and they were sculpted by Wiff Waff.  He also did some gnomes and cave imps that I purchased but these dwarves are the start of what I think will be a very fun range.  They are true 15's and size up well with the dark dwarves I have.  I have lots of packs planned for this range and the personalities will give a sense of a few upcoming packs, though there are loads more in the works.

Dwarf Personalities: Veteran Commander, Rune Priest, Crossbow Commander, Berserker Champion

Next, are the Bear Clan warriors, sculpted by Rodrick Campbell.  I am planning to use the Early Saxons for the grunt troops and will have the SAXO14 cavalry riding on bears as an option under their section in the webstore.  These would also work well as the Wendel from The 13th Warrior.   These will also work very well with the Bearmen Rodrick Campbell did for me

Bear Clan Chieftain and Shamaness

Bear Clan Were-Bears
Next, are some reinforcements for the Wyldewood Confederation, including halflings, a treeman, and wood elves.  I only have the halfling infantry and treeman painted up now but do have halfling cavalry and wood elves coming soon.

Halfling Militia

Next, we have some dark elves and new orc/goblin cavalry.  I painted up some of the new wood elves, sculpted by Faron Betchley, to be lighter infantry for the dark elves.  The dark elf cavalry has proven very popular and so Ben Siens did a great job on the command and the new goblin cavalry on dire hyenas.

Finally, we have the new Archer Collection piece for 2011--Young Conan and 2 wolves.  These were sculpted by Rodrick Campbell and the wolves will also be available in a new MISC pack we will be doing.  I tried out a goblin rider from above on the wolves and I think they will work well together as well.

Thanks for looking and I will have washed unpainted versions of all the new packs up to show this weekend.

Cool Advertisement

Here is a really cool advertisement for a new game called Brytenwalda.  It looks like a lot of fun, though I have not had a chance to try it out.  The fellows who created it seem like a great bunch and they used Splintered Light Miniatures figures in the video.
